El fotógrafo René Robert ha muerto por hipotermia en París a los 85 años, después de pasar nueve horas en una acera como consecuencia de una caída y sin que nadie le prestara auxilio.
La muerte se produjo durante la noche del 18 al 19 de enero, cuando el artista salió a pasear cerca de la plaza de la República de París, según ha informado en la emisora de radio ‘France Info’ su amigo el periodista Michel Mompontet.«Cuando un humano está tirado en la acera, con lo apurados que estamos, revisemos su estado. Detengámonos un momento», lamentó Mompontet.
Nacido en 1936 en Friburgo (Suiza), René Robert empezó dedicándose a la fotografía de publicidad y moda, aunque luego se hizo conocido por sus retratos del mundo del flamenco. Era devoto de Paco de Lucía, y una de sus fotografías más célebres se la hizo a Camarón.A lo largo de su trayectoria publicó tres libros dedicados a este mundo: ‘Flamenco’ (1993), ‘La Râge et la Grace’ (2001) y ‘Flamenco attitudes’ (2003).
