El 16 de marzo de 1984, Leon Gary Plauché mató a Jeff Doucet en el aeropuerto Baton Rouge, Louisiana, pero no sería un asesinato común y corriente. Doucet había secuestrado y violado al hijo de 11 años de Plauché, el asesinato fue captado por cámaras de TV.
